HP has finally revealed its long-awaited slate, a 8.9-inch tablet with capacitive multi-touch and Microsoft Windows 7. The board from its inception was proudly promoted by some Microsoft executives as a real danger to the IPAD and the market that this gadget has won and which is largely dominated.
Slate 500 HP Tablet PC is just that, a PC. It runs on an Intel Atom Z540 1.86GHz, has 2 GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD, along with a Broadcom accelerator video to 1080p, a USB port, HDMI output, a hardware switch Ctrl-Alt- Delete a button to activate the onscreen keyboard and a pair of cameras, one in the back for photos and one in the front for Skype users.
